Knoke:
2003 will prove to be a challenging year in regard to Federal Indian Policy (FIP).
While the National Congress of American Indians is pushing forward with their
Tribal Governance and Economic Enhancement Initiative (TGEEI), the WSJ, TIME,
National Review and other media sources have broken new ground in making
the public aware of the many flaws in FIP. (See both the TIME articles and
information about the TGEEI on the CERF website at: www.citizensalliance.org
CERF/CERA and its members can use the information available in this
newsletter and on our web site to bring pressure to bear on Congress. The time
is also right for getting our message out to the media. We need your help and
resources. Please contact your legislators whether you feel they agree with you
or not. They simply must hear from all of us. And secondly, please send in a tax
deducible donation to CERF. We need your help to carry on with our objectives:
to continue to educate Congress and the media via FAX, email and the newsletter.
Your dollars will be very much appreciated and wisely spent.
