Have you visited the CERF/CERA website at
www.citizensalliance.org recently? If not, please take a look at our new interactive

You are encouraged to "publish" your own editorials or articles or you may respond to previously posted comments. To date, we have received many comments from non-Indians who feel that federal Indian policy is a threat to their personal or property rights. Several tribal members have written about the dictatorial style of their tribal governments and the hardships they face living on reservations. We have our critics too. Several writers have claimed our opposition to current federal Indian policy is a form of racial bigotry. Despite the critics, we feel an open and honest discussion of these issues will lead to a better informed public and eventually to a more reasonable federal Indian policy. Please stop by and post your views on the "Federal Indian Policy Board".The "National News" section has been expanded and has
become an excellent resource for up-to-date articles on how federal Indian policy is affecting the U.S. and Canada. The news stories are broken down by state making it easy to locate specific local areas of concern as well. Indian policy conflicts tend to have specific local impacts that may differ from one area to another. Checking the CERA/CERF website National News section will give the viewer a great insight into issues that may, some day, affect you where you live. The National News section also offers a broad overview of how poorly-conceived federal policies and laws have a devastating effect across the nation. Readers will be shocked to learn how federal policies are creating racial animosity in the paradise of Hawaii. You can read about Illinois where there are no Indian tribes or reservations yet federal Indian policy is promoting cultural and racial tensions. If you would like to know more about these events, visit the National News section. If you belong to a local group dealing with federal Indian
policy, you will want to check out the "State Info." section. There, we are compiling profiles of state and community based groups currently addressing Indian policy issues. This section shows how pervasive Indian policy conflicts have become. Most of our subscribers are well aware of their local problems with federal Indian policy and have likely been involved in activities designed to change these policies. It is an eye opener to learn about other individuals across the US and Canada opposing Indian policies and what specific actions have been taken to influence current policies. The "State Info." section spotlights a Wisconsin group which has been successful in enlisting the help of the State to oppose tribal boundary claims. You will find a new Washington State group that has been effective in opposing a local tribe's efforts to regulate the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages by non-Indians in their own homes. You will also read about some of our Canadian neighbors living on Lake Huron, near Detroit, Michigan, where local and federal law enforcement agencies refused to restore law and order after a crime spree by tribal members. When you read about these people and the problems they face due to federal Indian policies you will wonder how these things could happen in a civilized country. Please check out the "State Info." section and feel free to network with these groups or individuals. Let's show support for each other. If your group is not listed on our website, please contact us at feedback@citizensalliance.org or fill out the handy web form on the State Info. section.
